Pre-launch Gathering in Clark County

A grounded space for worship, deep roots, and genuine community.

Third Person Church is a new church family forming in Camas and East Vancouver. Built for those seeking historic Christian depth, authentic relationships, and a faith that engages real life without the performance.

Our ethos

Three rhythms we're building around.

  • 01

    Table & hospitality

True community happens around shared food and unhurried presence. We prioritize intentional relationships over crowded auditoriums.

  • 02

    Context & human flourishing

We anchor deeply in the historical context of the biblical text while drawing on God-given insights from modern psychology and relational science. The result is practical wisdom for real life: healthier marriages, thoughtful parenting, emotional resilience, and authentic support when things get hard.

  • 03

    Presence & formation

Rooted in the Holy Spirit—the Third Person. Quiet prayer, historic liturgy, and everyday obedience in our homes, workplaces, and neighborhoods.

Why Third Person

Ancient wisdom for real life.

Faith shouldn't require you to check your mind at the door or pretend that modern life isn't complicated. We take a holistic, grounded approach to scripture and community.

Read what we believe

  • Context before application

The scriptures were not written in 21st-century America. We do the careful historical, cultural, and linguistic work to understand what the text meant to its original hearers so we can rightly understand what it means for us today.

  • Scripture and the sciences in harmony

All truth is God's truth. We draw on the insights God has given us through psychology, neurology, and relational science to understand human behavior, emotional health, and how we actually change.

  • Faith that works on Monday

We don't traffic in abstract theological trivia or shallow self-help. We translate ancient biblical wisdom and modern human insights into practical habits for parenting, marriages, work, anxiety, and daily resilience.

  • A village when life gets heavy

Theology means little if no one shows up when a crisis hits. We use these insights to build an intentional, supportive community—a true village where people are known, supported, and physically present for one another through every season.

The Holy Spirit formed human beings as integrated wholes—body, mind, and spirit. We take theology seriously enough to study its ancient roots, and we love people seriously enough to use every tool available to help our families, minds, and relationships thrive.
Vision Sessions

Step inside the vision.

Before launching public Sunday services, we are hosting informal Vision Sessions across Clark County. It is an opportunity to hear the heart behind Third Person Church, meet other families stepping into this journey, ask questions, and see if this is a community you want to help build.

A note from the pastor.

Hi, I'm Rick.

Most of us have known church as something you attend: a service to consume, a program to fit around everything else. I've come to believe the church was never meant to be a product. It's a people—a village with a table, that shows up.

That's what we're planting here in Clark County. Not a brand or a building, but roots: for our kids, for our marriages, and for the neighbors down the street who don't have anyone to call when life gets heavy.

If you're looking for a community to walk with, I'd love to buy you a cup of coffee and hear your story. No agenda, no pitch—just two people getting to know each other.
